SaRC News
SaRC's Social Club is going from strength to strength and we have recently launched a special sub-club especially for our members aged under 40 years old. Called GenS, there will be two events each month devised and hosted by members who are themselves under 40. (Sept 11)
SaRC is about building a network and a community feel amongst its members, so in October it launched Bulletin Board. Members can advertise via the monthly newsletter for flatmates, sports clubs, house-sitters or sitting, or to promote their freelance business, their upcoming exhibition or their theatre show. It's all about bringing people together and sharing the great things in life. (Oct 10)
SaRC celebrated its 1st Birthday in July 2010 and had a big party for all its social club members. Around the same time, we welcomed our 400th Bronze member! (July 10)
It's a New Year and SaRC continues to go from strength to strength! We recently welcomed our 200th Bronze member and have lots of plans for the coming months to continue to build the network. Watch this space! (Jan 10)
Memberships opened in July 09 and on the day of the first New Members Night in October, our 100th Bronze member registered. Welcome to everyone.
We are proud to announce that the Wellington City Council's Settlement Support service have added SaRC to their database of organisations. Settlement Support NZ is a government funded service that helps new arrivals settle into their local community. As single people, this can be all the more difficult because you need to establish links and friendships by yourself. Joining SaRC can make those links and friendships easier to find. (Sept 09)
